Kaitlin Watts serves as the Director for the Center for Early Childhood Success and leads early childhood strategic initiatives, including Hello Family, a pay-for-success initiative that helps Spartanburg families with young children thrive by connecting them to a continuum of evidence-based services. To ensure a robust support system for these families, Kaitlin’s role includes working diligently behind the scenes to foster collaboration among more than 60 community partners, including the Duke Endowment.

Passionate about advancing social equity, Kaitlin believes that positive change is best achieved through purposeful relationships and proactive planning. A Lowcountry native who has called Spartanburg home for nearly a decade, she is proud that Hello Family serves as an inspirational model for how communities across South Carolina can improve childhood outcomes.

Before leading in the community intervention space, Kaitlin was an early childhood educator for eight years and served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina Upstate. She received a master’s degree in educational leadership from Liberty University and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Erskine College.
